JTBC's Chairman Kang opened with the soul of chairman Kang Yong-ho moving into the body of little-known footballer Hwang Jun-hyeon.
The first episode begins as Kang prepares to retire and orders his children to compete over succession. The conflict changes direction after the children are involved in a crash that injures Hwang.
When Hwang confronts the chairman, Kang initially attempts to resolve the matter with money. Hwang refuses, and Kang tells his children that they have lost their chance to inherit his position.
A physical struggle follows, and Kang awakens inside Hwang's body. He then sees news coverage that presents him as a suspect, leaving him forced to navigate a life without the authority his old identity provided.
Adapted from a web novel, the series combines body-swap fantasy with an office drama about power, status and accountability.
